Object Oriented Impacts

Object oriented programming is the basis for much of the software world. I feel that once you know one language, learning another becomes much easier as the concepts are the same, but you need the new syntax. In the modern age, it is increasingly important to keep learning and stay up to date on technologies. Programming languages are a big part of that.

I think that my skills in object oriented programming allow me to be impactful in the workplace by providing me the tools to be successful. I have used these languages in all of my co-ops so far, and you can click the link below to view my GitHub with other various projects using all the languages from this page.

Full Stack Impacts

I learned about Full Stack Development mostly from my first co-op at CIMx Software. Knowing these languages allow me to be flexible in a software environment. I understand how to be adaptable and learn new technologies. The skills here will help me in any future software role.

Embedded Impacts

Embedded systems knowledge allows me to dive into the hardware world in addition to the software piece that I’ve been familiar with in the past. My co-op at Chamberlain Group allowed me to be able to research technologies like Bluetooth Low Energy, and low level hardware prototyping using Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and more. I am able to problem solve, and adapt easily because of these skills.

Tools Impacts

Having these tools in my experience allows me to express a diversity of knowledge. I have tools from a variety of topics that each help with a different kind of task. To me, learning new tools is like learning a new programming language. They are both important to keeping up with technology trends, and can help to increase productivity.
